Wheat Varieties
The Nebraska Wheat Board supports research and breeding programs with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and USDA ARS in an effort to improve agronomic performance of varieties for producers, and end-use quality characteristics for millers, bakers and consumers.
NWB encourages producers to consider using Certified Seed and to examine the different sources of data available to them when making decisions on which varieties to plant.
For information on current varieties available and their respective characteristics and performances in trials, the following materials are available to producers:

The 2026 NWB Variety Survey is a publication detailing information on top planted HRW wheat varieties based on data from Nebraska Crop Improvement Association and the Nebraska Wheat Board.
